Your batteries passport-ready, before the deadline
From 18 February 2027, each product in this group must have a digital passport. We compile it, host it, and provide the QR code.
Mandatory from 18 February 2027 — 181 days remaining. Established in Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 (batteries regulation), Article 77.

From catalogue to passport
- The product scan. You supply your catalogue — an export from your inventory system is sufficient. We classify each product in its group and show what is missing per product.
- Complete. What you know yourself, you fill in. For supply chain data we send one request per supplier — not four separate emails about the same product.
- Publish. The passport goes live at its own address, with a QR code that you place on the product or packaging.
- Maintain. If anything changes, the passport changes with it — and the old version is preserved. That must be: in a recall, the question is always what was there on the day of sale.

Not all groups at the same time. Batteries have a fixed date in their own regulation; for the rest, a delegated act determines when it will happen, and that has not yet been established. What is called "expected" below is therefore not a deadline.

Are you in multiple groups? Start at prodpas.eu
This site covers one product group. If your range falls into multiple groups — and for importers that is more often the rule than the exception — then you create on prodpas.eu digital product passports for all eight groups from one account. One subscription, one login, and a product that falls into two groups you enter once with two passport layers.
Are you already a customer here and want to switch? Then you only pay the difference in entry fee — € 250.00 — and the passports you already have invoiced go with you. You do not pay twice for the same step.
